Multi-layered Rocks

This cliff is called Multi-layered Rocks, similar to sedimentary rocks but actually belonging to volcanic rocks. During the intermittent eruptions of the volcano, each eruption produced volcanic material with slightly different composition so that more than 100 layers of volcanic rocks of scoria, volcanic bombs (or cow-dung bombs) and blocks, lapilli and thin short lava flows piled up and stacked, and that is why it is called “Multi-layered Rocks
