Fishes of Jingpohu
In
the Geopark, there is 100-km2 aquaculture area. In the
lake there is a great variety of fish, including famous ones like crucian carp, Asian carp, redfin, Mandarin fish,
diptychus, white Amur bream, etc. Among them,
the crucian carp was once taken as tribute to imperial family in the Qing
Dynasty. Mandarin fish, white Amur bream and
crucian carp are called “Three Hua Fishes”, and are best-known and valuable
fishes in Jingpo Lake. Rainbow trout is cultivated here, which was originally
handed over to Heilongjiang Province by Premier Zhou Enlai.
